    It’s a Low impact, less intense with plenty of energy style class. Chairs are used during strength or as needed. Carry in light weights, water & clean workout shoes to change into prior to class. This class is ideal for the active older adult, people with balance issues, arthritis, recovering from surgery, pregnant, just starting out, or just not ready for the higher impact/intense dance moves & strength workout.     Grab a friend and come walk with us! Based out of our beautiful Wheeler House, join us for a walk on our paved recreation path on Thursday mornings. Come enjoy the beautiful vistas, great company and an occasional special guest.

    Please meet approx 10 minutes before the start of our walk with comfy walking shoes. This program is free and no need to register! Just meet us there!

    Please note we will not be meeting on September 20th - It's Apple picking Trip Day!

    858000 - Young at Heart - Senior Luncheon

    Join us each Wednesday from 12:00-2:30 p.m. for a meal and program. Possible program activities can include: Bingo, Movie Matinee, Concert, Health and Wellness, Games and more! We will meet each Wednesday for a meal at noon and free program to follow. We look forward to this exciting opportunity to stay connected all year round! Our senior's schedule is bursting with variety, based out of the City Hall Conference Room. We begin with a meal that can purchased for $4.00 per person. Menus are posted in advance through our monthly newsletter. You must pre-register for your meal on the Friday by 9:30 a.m. prior to the next Wednesday to receive lunch by calling 846-4108.
    Everyone is welcome to come after the lunch for the Free program!

    Meal Swiss steak with monterey jack cheese, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, wheat bread, peaches
    Program After lunch, we will celebrate September birthdays and play prize Bingo. Don’t forget your pennies!

    September 12 Documentary – Flying the Feathered Edge: The Bob Hoover Project
    Meal Baked fish, lemon wedge, rice with vegetables, broccoli florets, wheat bread, peaches & cream
    Program R. A. "Bob" Hoover, one of America’s greatest pilots, passed away in 2016 at the age of 94. This week we will finish watching the documentary movie "Flying the Feathered Edge: The Bob Hoover Project". Afterward, Joe Desrosiers will read excerpts and show photos from Bob Hoover’s autobiography "Forever Flying" and then we will have a discussion about anything to do with aviation!

    September 19 Music with Julia Blocksma
    Meal Chicken, corn and potato chowder, crackers, cut green beans, pineapple tidbits
    Program Please join us as we listen and sing along with Pianist Julia Blocksma. It’s a treat to have Julia with us as she brings joy and fun!

    September 26 Flower Arranging and Gather Vermont Respite House Donations
    Meal Turkey tetrazzini, mixed vegetables, wheat roll, pineapple tidbits
    Program Each year, South Burlington Seniors engage in some type of community service project. This fall, they have chosen to bring in donations for the Vermont Respite House in Colchester. With donated flowers, we will make a few flower arrangements and gather the items given by this compassionate and generous group to bring to the Vermont Respite House.
