663005 - Dog Intro to Nosework - Spring

663005 - Dog Intro to Nosework - Spring

Nosework : Is a fun, new sport that any dog can play (including elderly and handicapped dogs!), and will give you a new activity to do with your dog. In this 6 week class we teach dogs to use their amazing nose to find specific scents that are hidden, and they get great payoffs for finding them! This class will use food to teach basic skills of searching, odor movement and leash handling. Further classes increase challenge, and prepare for competition if desired. Dogs will need to be on a flat collar or harness, and a 6-10' regular leash (no retractables). This class helps shy dogs gain confidence, reactive dogs learn focus, and gives busy dogs the mental exercise they need.

Only one dog searches at a time so dogs must be able to stay in your vehicle or a crate in an adjacent room when they are not searching. We can accommodate mild to moderately reactive dogs. For more info, see Holly's website: http://www.dogshines.com/Training-Classes.html

All vaccination records will need to be brought to the first meeting night.

    665010 - Memorial Day Ceremony

    665010 - Memorial Day Ceremony

Please Join us for a special Memorial Day Ceremony at Veteran's Memorial Park as we remember our fallen friends and family.
Since the earliest ceremonies in small American towns following the Civil War, we have gathered on Memorial Day to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. As in those early days of laying wreaths and placing flags, our national day of remembrance is often felt most deeply among the families and communities who have personally lost friends and loved ones.

This national holiday may also be the unofficial start of the summer season, but all Americans must take a moment to remember the sacrifice of our valiant military service members, first responders and their families. Memorial Day is a day of both celebration and grief, accounting for the honor of our heroes and reflecting on their tragic loss.

Rain Location will be at City of South Burlington Offices at 575 Dorset Street.
