Details:
This program is for boys and girls ages 6 and up who simply want to learn how to skate. No prior experience is necessary. Participants will learn the basics of ice including the forward stride, backward stride, stopping, turning and more. Participants will practice their skills in small groups with a coach.

The Youth Learn to Skate program is broken up into six levels. Brand new skaters will begin in the Basic 1 class. Participants will graduate to the other levels as they progress.

Skates (rentals available)
Make sure your skater has warm, athletic clothing such as sweat pants, wind pants, sweat shirts, snow pants and a coat. Mittens or gloves are recommended as well. There are locker rooms available to change into clothing.
Knee pads and elbow pads are not required, but we highly recommend them. New skaters can expect to fall quite a bit.
